The Marine Stores Guide (MSG) is a comprehensive and standardised system for the identification and categorisation of marine supplies and equipment used in the international shipping industry. Often referred to as "the IMPA codes", the MSG facilitates efficient purchasing, delivery, and supply management, and helps purchasers and suppliers match and supply goods easily by using unique six-digit codes to identify products exactly to an individual description.
