The IMPA Marine Stores Guide Data Licence
Get the updated code on your system...
The Marine Stores Guide Data Licence is a digital version of the catalogue. It has been developed over a number of years by IMPA in partnership with Fuji Trading and continues grow in tandem with the increasing use of electronic trading platforms.
The MSG Data Licence provides a universal coding system to facilitate communication between crew, owner and supplier, making the specification and supply of goods simple, quick and effective.
The data, provided in MS Excel format, is uploaded into purchasing software systems or electronic order systems, making it simple for companies using electronic trading platforms to specify and identify stores items quickly using the 6-digit code.
The directory lists more than 42,000 products provided by suppliers and manufacturers from around the world. Unlike the book version, the electronic version is updated every six months.
Many of the leading marine software companies promote the use of the IMPA Marine Stores Guide Data through their systems and act as resellers throughout the world. Among these companies are Alexony Ltd, Spectec, PD Limited, GL Maritime Software, BUSS DATA, DANAOS Management Consultnats, EBD ErgoGroup and Star Information Systems. Use of these companies’ software systems guarantees the use of the MSG Data.
As an MSG reseller we are able to offer a broader solution to our clients. By including the electronic MSG data in our GL ShipManager – Procurement system, our clients are able to save time creating and processing requisitions, and to improve information flows with suppliers.
Kevin Brunn, GL Maritime Software
Many SpecTec customers are already using the IMPA catalogue and they wish to have these data into their AMOS database to have the possibility to manage them in conjunction with all the on-board maintenance activities into an integrated software environment like AMOS. Many other customers would like to have the same approach.
